Spring Fun

We were able to go to Utah a couple of weeks ago and let the kids spend time with cousins. They had a great time and I loved relaxing and hanging out with family. I don't have the picture yet, but the kids and I also met up with some good friends from Ogden and we loved catching up and seeing their growing kids! We also loved General Conference, especially the Saturday morning session the Waldron adults all attended. It was a great conference, and I look forward to re-watching and re-reading the talks. I had way too many favorite pictures of the trip and wanted to comment on each, so I thought instead I'd be oh-so clever and do a little slideshow of the pictures. Well it's been a pain in the neck and not turned out like I hoped, and this is the only way I can figure out how to share it. Hope you enjoy it. (Here's one of the grandkids we took for my mom after she bought the girls matching Easter dresses.)
Back in CA, we celebrated Christopher's 3rd birthday. I'm kind of weirded out that I have a 3-year old. We sure do love him though!! His birthday was pretty simple. We got pizza and had cupcakes and he opened presents at the park. I love that he still had a lot of fun even though it was really simple and his main birthday present was a fire truck (the cupcakes are supposed to be The Very Hungry Caterpillar...)
.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, has really grown up a lot the past couple of weeks. Her 2nd tooth finally poked through, and she has 2 more that won't take long. She is also starting to talk and copy more sounds, which we've really enjoyed. Besides mama and dada, she also says 'owww', 'uh-oh', shakes or nods her head in response to questions, and says 'buh-buh' (for bubbles we were doing last night) and 'bu-pa' (for Grandpa- she loves following him around and getting his attention!) And the dreaded 'Nnooo' has also come out- yikes. But she also will copy us saying 'Jesus' when we look at a picture, and I love that. :) Here she is looking not-so-feminine. :)
As for #3, for those who hadn't heard, we found out a couple of weeks ago that it's a boy! I had been thinking it was a girl, so I was kind of surprised but we're very excited. Name suggestions so far include Walter, Malcolm, Howard and Eugene. :) Don't worry, we'll come up with something good.
As for Chris and me, we're doing well. Chris has been very busy at work but is doing well there and enjoying what he does. On Saturday, the weather here was lovely and we were at his parents and took the kids swimming. (By that, I mean I got half-way in (it was a little chilly) with Brooklyn for a bit then lay out in the warm sun, while Chris made sure Christopher, Hailey and Kyle had tons of fun in the water). We also had a nice Easter which included decorating eggs the night before (well, Christopher destroyed the shell of every egg he touched), and of course an Easter egg hunt for the kids and a nice dinner at his parents. It's been a good Spring so far! Here's Brooklyn matching Daddy on Easter.

It didn't show up like I'd hoped, but if you click on the word 'this', it's a link to the website that shows the slideshow...

The picture with Christopher scowling behind bars is hilarious!

Love Brooklyn's "feminine" picture! Sad I didn't get to see her or Chris last month---but it was great seeing you and Christopher! See you next month:)

Okay. I need to see your family. I don't live that far away and it's been too long. I blame taxes. We'll do something soon. Surely I'll see you at some point next week with Ma here! :) Okay I would like to comment on every picture from the slideshow alas, there is not enough room here. As I've been looking at pictures on everyone's blog I'm getting excited for the great Calendar Material!

Sara- so many sweet pictures! How I love cousin get-togethers! Your kids are both so sweet, and I am excited to meet another Waldron soon (my vote is Howard, BTW). Sweet picture of Chris and Brooklyn at the end too. :)
